Huhko Manor Huhko is a beautiful estate in the empire style and is used by the town council for special events and exhibitions. It is also a venue for private functions. The first records of Huhko Manor are from the 16th century. The oldest parts of the present building date from the 18th century. The Eero Rantanen Foundation Art Collection You can become familiar with the Finnish art from the 1940's to the 1960's at the exhibitions of the Eero Rantanen Foundation's art collections, located at the Museum and Cultural Centre of Harkko and Huhko Manor. The collection of over 3000 works include Russian and Estonian paintings, graphic art, miniature sculptures and medals. One Thousand Years Ago Archaeologists have made several findings from the Iron Age. These findings tell us that agriculture became established in this area about one thousand years ago. The Krookila Local History Museum houses a reconstruction of an Iron Age house with copies of items found in the area. You can also get to know the ancient history of the area by visiting the exhibitions at the Museum and Cultural Centre of Harkko. The ‘Vaskipolku’ (The Brass Trail) in the River Valley Step on the trail that will take you into the past! ‘Vaskipolku’ is a two-kilometre trail that passes several significant ancient remains. The trail winds through the beautiful riverside scenery and is part of the Killi and Nalli nature trail network. You can easily set off on the ‘Vaskipolku’ at Huhko Manor.
